My name is Rhys Wheeler. I’m a 22 year old professional drummer from South Wales , United Kingdom.

I’m a 22 year old professional drummer from South Wales , United Kingdom. I’d developed a massive passion pretty quickly for drums when I discovered the likes of Stewart Copeland (The Police) and Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac).

These artist have been massive inspirations to me since growing up with 80s and 90s music constantly playing around me during my childhood.

My mother like many others was obsessed with the 80s so I grew up as a teenager being fed everything 80s from Cyndi Lauder to Duran Duran. At the time it felt quite embarrassing to be liking that sort of music when all your mates loved rap and what ever was in the charts.

That really is what made me fall in love with music and more specifically the drums and anything percussion.
