Morgan Parker

Morgan Parker is a New York City based drummer, rhythmic percussionist, and artist. She is a second year master’s student at New York University.
She is pursuing her M.M. in Percussion Performance at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and will be receiving her degree in the spring of 2022. At NYU, Morgan performs in the Broadway Orchestra directed by Ted Sperling and John Miller, African Gyil and Percussion Ensemble directed by Valerie Naranjo, Pop/Rock Ensemble directed by Dr. Justin John Moniz, Steel Band directed Josh Quillen, and Percussion Ensemble directed by Jonathan Haas. In her time at NYU, she has primarily studied with James Saporito, of the New York City Ballet; Valerie Naranjo, PAS Hall of Fame; Jonathan Haas; and Sean Statser.
Morgan has performed in over thirty musical theater productions and has performed in Costa Rica, New York City, and all over the midwest. She has been seen on iconic stages such as The Bitter End, Radagast Hall, and The Players Theatre. She is a member of several brass bands, such as “Brass by the Slice '' and “Off The Bar Brass”, and is also the drummer for upcoming singer songwriters, Julia Crafton and Ethn. Morgan also has performed on the world-renowned PASIC stage with NYU’s African Gyil and Percussion Ensemble directed by Valerie Naranjo as well as ESPN's tribute to Phil Collins arranged by Javier Diaz with NYU's Percussion Ensemble.
